2019 marks a very special birthday for MPBC as we celebrate 60 years of ‘unity through diversity’ together. To celebrate this momentous occasion we will be gathering all together, both our Booragoon and Coolbellup campuses, for one service only at 10.00am on Sunday 9 June, Pentecost Sunday.
We are planning a huge family celebration with live streaming of the service into the Function Room, Room 10 and also the Children’s Area to accommodate everyone.
Post-service, we will enjoy tea & coffee in the foyer, family activities in the Children’s Area including face painting, bubbles with an interactive circus workshop for the younger children, and a hang space for the teens in Room 10.
There will also be an opportunity to view some memorabilia in the library before we all enjoy a massive international lunch together at 12.30pm by everyone bringing a plate of finger food to share.
Invitations are available at the Info Point and via email. If you know someone who has been involved with Mounties over the last 60 years, but is no longer part of the church community, we would love you to let them know.
Sunday 9 June
There will be a live feed in the children’s area for parents of young children so they can enjoy the service while supervising their children.
There will be a fun activity taking place through the duration of the service for this age group.
There is parking on site of course and we urge you to car pool. With around 1,000 people expected, we have also gained permission from Garden City Shopping Centre to park anywhere off of the Marmion St or Davy St entrances for the day. Shuttle buses will take you to and from the Church (see below).
Kennedy Baptist College have kindly provided two shuttle buses that will be located in the Garden City carpark near the Davy St parking entrance (see map). There will be people on Davy St directing attendees to the buses that will take people to the Church building departing at 9am, 9.15am and 9.30am ONLY.
The shuttle buses back to Garden City car park will operate at:
12pm (before lunch)
ONLY if you miss the 2pm bus will you need to find another way to back to your car
