Position: Part Time Pastoral Care (Female)

Mount Pleasant Baptist Church is seeking a Female Pastoral Care. This role is dedicated to providing spiritual, emotional, and practical care to members of the congregation and the wider community, embodying Christ’s love through presence, prayer, encouragement, and support. The position will strengthen MPBC’s mission to nurture a caring and connected community, with a particular focus on addressing the pastoral care needs of women.

 

Key Result Areas:

  • Pastoral visitation to the sick, bereaved, elderly and those facing life challenges
  • Offer prayer, spiritual guidance and emotional support
  • Coordinate follow-up care after significant life events (for example, births, weddings, funerals)

Position: Youth Pastor (Part-time)

Mount Pleasant Baptist Church is seeking a a part time Youth Pastor to join our Ministry Leader team. This role is focused on raising up young people to know Jesus and equipping, empowering, and releasing them to make Him known to others. The Youth Pastor will oversee and monitor existing programs, mentor and support core youth leaders, and drive new initiatives within Mount Pleasant Youth. This position requires a passionate leader who can inspire, delegate, and empower others while promoting the values and vision of MPBC.

 

Essential Tasks:

  • Maintain a close involvement and leadership profile with all youth activities, both during the week and on Sundays.
  • Oversee, advise and monitor the planning and implementation for all camping activities, ensuring that leaders are adequately briefed supported and debriefed.
  • Proactively seek, in consultation with program leaders, opportunities for enriching programs and for raising up and empowering leaders to implement new initiatives.
  • Network externally seeking the interchange of ideas, motivation and trends.
  • Ensure all leaders accountable to the Youth Pastor are cared for pastorally and challenged in their spiritual development.

Position: Communications & Digital Media Officer (0.6-0.8)

Mount Pleasant Baptist Church (MPBC) is seeking a part‑time Communications & Digital Media Officer to join our Communications Team and play a key role in helping our church and associated ministries remain informed, engaged and connected. This role offers the opportunity to contribute creatively and meaningfully to the life and mission of MPBC, supporting the Church, College and outreach organisations through high‑quality digital and print communications.

We welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about communication, collaboration, and creative storytelling. While experience across the listed skills and software is ideal, we encourage applicants who may not meet every requirement to apply. We are committed to supporting growth and development and are willing to provide training to the right candidate who demonstrates a strong alignment with our vision, mission, and values, has a teachable spirit, and a willingness to learn.

 

Essential Tasks:

  • Design, produce, repurpose and maintain a wide range of digital and print communication materials in alignment with the vision and mission of the organisation and under the direction of the Communications Team Lead
  • Maintain, design, create and produce digital content for the Church (MPBC), College (MPC), Mercy Reach Foundation and Infuse Café websites and social media platforms, ensuring all written and visual materials are current, accurate and appropriate. This includes keeping information up to date and clearly communicating upcoming events and community initiatives across MPBC, MPC and associated outreach work
  • Capture and edit high-quality digital content through photography, videography and video editing to support organisational communications and promotional needs
  • Provide support and assistance to the Communications Team Lead by developing and repurposing design elements for use across key communication channels including the Church App, Together Weekly email, online registration forms, social media platforms and any other areas required
